La Plaza de Cibeles
La Plaza de Cibeles is one of the most beautiful squares in Madrid. The Plaza features the monumental Cibeles Fountain in the centre depicting the Roman goddess Cibeles. The fountain that originally stood next to the Buenavista Palace was built between 1777 and 1782 by Ventura Rodriguez.
